How to use the pension calculator

  1. Enter your average reference monthly salary.
  2. Enter the years you'll have contributed and the years needed for a full pension in your country.
  3. Enter the replacement rate and review the estimated pension.

How the pension estimate works

Pension = salary × replacement rate × min(1, years contributed / years for full)

Many systems grant a share of the pension based on years contributed; here that's modelled simply and proportionally.

Pension estimate example

With a €2,000 reference salary, 30 of the 35 required years and a 70% replacement rate, the estimate is €1,200 a month (60% of salary).
