How to use the net to gross salary calculator
- Enter the annual net salary you want and the number of payments.
- Enter the applicable withholding and contributions.
- Review the annual gross needed and the gross per payment.
How net becomes gross
Gross = net / (1 − (withholding + contributions))
It's the reverse of the gross-to-net calculation: net is what's left of gross after the percentages are deducted.

Frequently asked questions
Why not just add the percentages to the net amount?
Because the percentages are calculated on gross pay, not net. That's why we divide by (1 − percentages).
Does it work for freelancers?
