Calculate the new price

Result

New price

€54.00

Increase
€4.00

Formula version: 1.0.0

How to use the price increase calculator

  1. Enter the original price.
  2. Enter the percentage increase (a negative value is a decrease).
  3. Review the increase and the new price.

Price increase formula

New price = price × (1 + increase / 100)

An increase and a decrease of the same percentage don't cancel out, because they apply to different bases.

Price increase example

A €50 price with an 8% increase goes up €4 to €54.

Illustrative example with the data shown; not a guaranteed outcome.

Assumptions and limitations

  • The increase applies to the original price.
